Adaptation
In order for a species to survive in its environment the species must adapt to the conditions that are present within that environment. Factors that can force the need for adaptation include; competition from other animals for resources, limited resources to begin with, predators in the environment, conditions(temperature, amount of water and elevation), and the general make up of the ecosystem. These adaptions can be either in the species physiology or in its behavior. Adaptions can range from an animal changing its habits to become nocturnal, to an animal having a part of its body change overtime to better suite a new diet.
